Motorola RAZR 5G leak tips faster Snapdragon 765G chip, better cameras and larger battery
The Motorola RAZR 5G has been making rounds of the rumor mill for quite a while now, and even posed for the camera via leaked live images back in July. Now, tipster Ishan Agarwal has shared details about some of the hardware upgrades that the Motorola RAZR 5G will bring to the table such as more capable camera hardware, faster silicon, and a larger battery among others.
motorola razr 5G seems like a good upgrade over the #motorolarazr… It's getting SD765G 5G Chipset with 48MP Main Camera & 20MP Front Camera. Battery has been upgraded to 2,800 mAH.
— Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) August 31, 2020
It's lighter now, 190g. 168.5×72.5x8mm are the new dimensions. Thoughts? #motorola #razr5g pic.twitter.com/Da8jhNJD2t
Motorola RAZR 5G will reportedly draw power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip, a notable improvement from the Snapdragon 710 SoC packed inside its predecessor. The upcoming device is also said to pack a more powerful 48MP rear camera, which is again a notable upgrade over the 16MP snapper on the first-gen RAZR.
The resolution of the front camera has also been bumped up from 5MP on the Motorola RAZR to 20MP on its 5G variant which is rumored to debut later this month. Plus, the battery capacity has also been increased to 2,800mAh, but there is no word whether the fast charging capability has received a boost as well. It appears that the Motorola RAZR 5G will be offered in a ‘Polished Graphite’ shade.

Next Apple event would present AirTags, Apple Watch Series 6, and iPhone 12 with LiDAR sensor?
We get new information related to the next Apple event. This time a report from Japanese site Mac Otakara claims that Apple will launch its new iPhone 12 lineup in October, along with other goodies. However, another report claims that the iPhone 12 may once again include a LiDAR sensor.
According to Mac Otakara, the next Apple event will take place in the second half of October. This event will introduce the new iPhone 12 lineup along with the new Apple Watch Series 6. We would also see the long-rumored AirTags, which were supposed to launch along the iPhone SE 2020. This new information goes against what leaker Jon Prosser said when he suggested that the Apple Watch and the new iPads will be released in September via press release. However, Apple has always launched its new Apple Watch along with the iPhone lineup, and we don’t expect things to change anytime soon.
Another report from DigiTimes claims that the new iPhone 12 will arrive with a LiDAR sensor. This Light Detection and Ranging sensor made its first appearance in the 2020 iPad Pro. It can be used to calculate distances by illuminating an object with laser light and measuring the reflection. The data is then used to create accurate 3D representations of objects and environments, which would improve AR experiences. However, the report doesn’t mention which variants of the iPhone 12 will include this sensor. Rumors suggest that it may only come in the 6.7-inch version of the iPhone 12 Pro, while others believe that it may also come in the Pro variant’s 6.1-inch version.

Apple’s upcoming 10.8-inch iPad appears in leaked schematics with an iPad Pro-like design
Apple is reportedly working on a new 10.8-inch iPad that will flaunt a very iPad Pro-esque design and is expected to debut later this year. As per alleged schematics (via 91Mobiles) of the upcoming iPad (or iPad Mini…?), it will follow in the aesthetic footsteps of the new iPad Pro by opting for uniformly thin bezels on all sides and flat sides.
Notably though, the upcoming 10.8-inch tablet from Apple will adopt the Face ID hardware, which means it might well spell the end of a physical Touch ID home button on iPads. Although it is encouraging to see Apple introduce more uniformity in the iPad lineup, we also can’t help but wonder about the price hike that Face ID inevitably brings to the table.
The leaked schematics also reveal a single rear camera and that the device will allegedly have a smaller footprint than the first-generation iPad Pro that made its debut in 2015. Also, the upcoming 10.8-inch iPad will feature a USB Type-C port. There will also be magnetic connectors at the back and it might offer support for Apple’s Magic Keyboard that was introduced earlier this year.

Google Photos on iOS gets a host of new video editing tools
Google Photos on iOS has landed a host of useful video editing tools with the v5.8 update that include framing, light tuning, color adjustment, filters and more. Notably, these video editing tools are yet to appear in the Google Photos app for Android, but are currently under the test phase with no concrete date for a wider rollout via the stable channel.

Talking about the new image editing tools in Google Photos for iOS, they can be accessed by tapping on the edit button after you open a video in the app. You can choose from a limited selection of filters that can be applied to videos, just the way they work for still photos. In addition to it, you can also trim or rotate the video to a specified angle.

Lastly, there are two other editing options called light and color. Under the light dropdown, you’ll find controls for exposure, contrast, shadows, highlights, and more. The color option, on the other hand, will let you play with attributes such as saturation, warmth, tint and skin tone to name a few.

Google’s upcoming ‘Sabrina’ Android TV dongle could cost just $49.99 as per a retail listing
We’ve seen and heard a lot about Google’s upcoming Android TV dongle codenamed Sabrina via leaks and firmware digging in the past few months. Now, Home Depot appears to have briefly listed the streaming device (via 9toGoogle), revealing an asking price of just $49.99 for its Rock Candy color option.
The listing has since been pulled, but it can still be accessed via this cached version. Additionally, it has also been discovered that the Sabrina Android TV dongle will come in two more colors – Como Blue and Summer Melon. However, information about a launch date is still a mystery as the device was originally rumored to launch alongside the Google Pixel 4a, but that never happened.
Google is testing a dedicated Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for its upcoming Android TV dongle that automatically enables a low-latency mode when it is connected to a compatible smart TV with a native low-latency mode of its own, providing a lag-free gaming experience. A leaked video has shown that the Sabrina Android TV dongle will have a pebble-like design and will plug-in via its USB Type-C connector.

12-inch MacBook to make a return with ARM processors
The 12-inch MacBook with Intel processors was discontinued just more than a year ago, but it seems that it was all part of Apple’s strategy to make way for its new ARM-powered MacBooks. Earlier this year, Apple announced that it was going to stop using Intel processors in its Macs to give way to a new wave ARM-powered products. This transition will take Apple around two years, but it seems that the first model to embrace the change will be the 12-inch MacBook by the end of this year.
“Industry sources pointed out that the first A14X processor designed by Apple has been finalized and will begin mass production using TSMC’s 5nm process before the end of the year.
“Apple’s supply chain industry pointed out that by the end of this year, Apple is expected to launch a Macbook with a 12-inch Retina Display, using a self-developed and designed A14X processor. The processor is codenamed Tonga and supports a USB Type-C interface. It will weigh less than 1 kilogram.
“Because of the low power consumption of the Arm architecture processor, the battery life of the new Macbook can reach 15 to 20 hours.”
The new 12-inch MacBook is also expected to deliver up to 20 hours of battery life, and changes don’t stop there. Apple may also be working in developing its own GPUs, and these could even arrive in the second half of 2021, inside an iMac.
“In the past, Apple introduced Mac personal computers with Intel CPUs, equipped with Huida or AMD GPUs, but industry insiders pointed out that Apple has cancelled support for AMD GPUs in the macOS Arm 64-bit operating system, indicating that Apple will be adopted in the future. Silicon’s Mac personal computers may use a GPU developed and designed by Apple. Recently, the industry has reported that in addition to Apple Silicon processors, Apple’s iMac desktops launched next year will also be equipped with self-developed and designed Apple GPUs.
“According to relevant sources, Apple’s self-developed GPU is progressing smoothly. The research and development code is Lifuka. Like the upcoming A14X processor, it is produced using TSMC’s 5nm process. Apple has designed a series of processors for Mac personal computers. The new GPU will provide better performance per watt and higher computing performance. It has tile-based deferred rendering technology that allows application developers to write More powerful professional application software and game software.”
However, these possible changes have also affected other companies, as Apple could’ve asked TSMC to stop making chips for Huawei, as Cupertino wants to make sure the chipmaker has enough capacity to supply its needs. Of course, the US ban on Huawei makes this an easy decision for TSMC, leaving MediaTek as the only possible supplier for Huawei Silicon in the near future. These last details suggest that the report’s source may be TSMC employees or consultants, which would make this report from China Times more reliable.

MediaTek seeks permission to sell chips to Huawei
Huawei has confirmed that the new Mate 40 series will be the last of its flagships to include a Kirin processor. This is because the US ban has blocked the TSMC from selling chips to the Chinese tech giant. The company is still looking for possible chip suppliers, and it seems that MediaTek could be the only company willing to take action.
MediaTek has announced that it has formally submitted a request for a license to sell chips to Huawei. The US will make some adjustments to the current ban on September 15 to close loopholes that would prevent MediaTek and other companies from selling products to Huawei. Let’s remember that MediaTek is also a Chinese company, but it “reiterates its respect for following relevant orders and rules on global trade, and has already applied for permission with the US side in accordance with the rules.”
Huawei needs to find a source for processors, and MediaTek may be the best suited for this position. However, if the Trump administration decides to deny the request, Huawei would be left without processors for future devices. Both Chinese companies could also choose to ignore the ban and work together, but at this moment, we can’t tell or begin to predict what may happen.

Pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE revealed?
We could soon see the arrival of the new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. The Galaxy S10 Lite’s successor was recently leaked in a 360-degree video, and now we get new rumors suggesting color options and the possible pricing for the device.

According to the latest report from DeaINTech, the new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will arrive with a $1,148.65 price tag. However, this pricing is set in Canadian dollars, meaning that it may arrive with an $876 price in the US. According to rumors, the phone will have six color options, including Navy, Lavender, Sky Green, Red, White, and Orange. These are the same color variants leaked by Evan Blass on Friday.

The new Galaxy 20 Fan Edition will be available in both 4G and 5G variants, depending on the market. It is also supposed to be almost as large as the Galaxy S20+, but with larger bezels and a smaller display that’s said to measure 6.5-inches. Its main camera could include a 12MP primary shooter with a 12MP ultra-wide and an 8MP telephoto sensor. A 4,500mAh battery and IP68 rating is also expected to come in this phone that may arrive in October.

We could soon get a new pair of Nokia Power Earbuds Lite
It seems that Nokia is getting ready to give us a new version of its Power Earbuds. The original version arrived with model number BH-605 and a 90 price tag. However, a new certification and a grainy photo tell us we can expect a new pair of Nokia Power Earbuds Lite.

We may soon get a new pair of Nokia Power Earbuds Lite. These were found with model number BH-405 in a certification document of Bluetooth SIG. The certification shows that these new earbuds will include a new Bluetooth 5.1 connection, which will give it better connection and power management than the previous Bluetooth 5.0 chip. We will also get an IPX7 rating, and we can guess that it may arrive during the next IFA 2020, where HMD Global is also expected to present its new Nokia devices.

The price of the new LG Wing may not be so compelling
We have been getting an interesting amount of leaks for the new LG Wing. The latest rumor suggests that this device won’t be as expensive as foldable smartphones, but that doesn’t mean that it will be cheap either.
The first report mentioning the new LG Wing’s possible price came from South Korean publication, Herald Corp. It claimed that the device would arrive with a $1,600 price tag, making this the most expensive LG phone ever. However, an anonymous source spoke to XDA-Developers, and now, it seems that this phone may arrive for $1,000 in the United States. The source also confirms that the recent videos leaked at Android Authority are legitimate. However, we are still waiting for rumors to suggest a possible launch date and the device’s internals.

A couple of days ago we got a leaked video of the LG Wing fully working on a car and well, now we have another one. And don’t worry guys, this time there’s no multi-tasking while driving. On this new 10 second clip, the person on the passenger seat is playing Asphalt on the main display which is set horizontally, while getting driving directions on the vertical secondary display which is at the top this time. What’s interesting is that this time the phone seems to be set into a different position when compared to last time, meaning that there will be multiple ways to play around with both displays instead of a single position. We still don’t have any information on a launch date or specs as, we still believe that this is only a concept as of right now.A budget OnePlus ‘Clover’ with Snapdragon 460 SoC, 6000mAh battery is coming soon
OnePlus could be working on a smartwatch, might launch it by year-end
Back on Monday we covered how, the OnePlus proprietary source code hinted that we would be getting a new budget phone some time soon with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460. Now, a new report from Android Central claims that OnePlus is working on an “entry-level phone” that is powered by that same Snapdragon 460. The report mentions that the launch is imminent and that this device will be made available in global markets, including the US. Apparently the codename for this phone is “Clover” and it will feature a 6.52in 720p LCD display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It could also pack a 6000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging and a triple camera array at the back which would include a 13MP main sensor and two 2MP sensors. It is rumored to cost around $200. Moving on, it looks like the company is working on a smart watch as well. As a new OnePlus Watch was just certified in Singapore, revealing the model number. It’s most likely running WearOS, on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 and it will reportedly have a design similar to the OPPO Watch, so you know what that means.. We could get it along the OnePlus 8T.The prices of the iPhone 12 lineup will apparently go up
I guess the only way we can describe iPhone 12 rumors is by saying they’re cumbersome. It’s been a constant back and forth over the specs, the features and the prices. Well, according to a new report from TrendForce Analytics, it looks like we are getting some more expensive iPhones, even if they’re taking away accessories and cutting corners with other components. According to them, these iPhones might be $50-$100 more expensive than the 11 Series. They claim that the 5.4in iPhone 12 could start between $699-749, the 6.1in iPhone 12 Max between $799-849, the 6.1in 12 Pro will apparently start at $1049 instead of $999 and finally, the 6.7in 12 Pro Max would be priced between $1149-1199. Most of the added costs are due to the new 5G components as we know that the Pro variants will rock mmWave 5G which is causing some of the delays and according to this particular report, storage will start at 64GB unlike previous rumors that hinted to 128GB.Story of the day:
Apple has terminated Epic Games’ developer accounts
And finally the hottest news today have to do with Apple and Epic Games going thermo nuclear on each other. I guess they weren’t joking around. Just for context if you remember Fortnite has been banned from the App Store ever since August 13th when they violated the Terms of Service by adding an in-app payment option to their cosmetics store. Well, Apple gave them 14 days to fix this or they would be permanently banned from the Store. Well, that just happened. Apple just terminated Epics Developer Account, meaning that Fortnite isn’t the only game affected anymore. If you search for other titles like Infinity Blade or Battle Breakers they are completely gone. Epic announced the latest Fortnite Season yesterday, and technically you can still play but you’re only able to play with other Apple users, and you won’t get any new updates. Epic also sent emails to their users blaming Apple over the fact that they wouldn’t be able to play the new season and Apple simply responded by featuring PUBG in the App Store. As of right now, only Epics Main account has been terminated, and not Epic Games international which is responsible for the Unreal Engine thanks to the judges ruling as Apple was going after both. Apple already confirmed this on a statement saying that it was disappointing that the termination had to happen. Epic doesn’t have the ability to submit apps or updates any more and with how that lawsuit is going, it looks like that’s the it’s going to end. The prices of the iPhone 12 lineup will apparently go up
It seems that removing the power adapters and wired Earpods in the box of the new iPhone 12 won’t help Apple keep prices low. The latest report claims that we may see prices go up by at least $50.

According to the latest report from analysts at TrendForce, the new iPhone 12 models could be $50 to $100 more expensive than the iPhone 11 lineup. The entry-level 5.4-inch iPhone 12 could start anywhere from $699 to $749, the 12 Max would be placed between $799 and $849, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max could even reach a $1,199 price tag. A previous report claimed that Apple was going to stop including chargers and Earpods in these devices to keep the prices down. However, this report suggests that 5G isn’t going to make that possible.

Apple has terminated Epic Games’ developer accounts
It seems that Apple wasn’t playing when it said that it would terminate Epic Games’ developer accounts if Fortnite continued to have direct payment options. Now, the threat has become action, and Epic has lost access to its Apple developer account.
Apple has taken the next step in its fight against Epic Games. A war that was started by Epic, when it decided to introduce a way for Fortnite players to avoid paying Apple’s 30% commission. Apple quickly removed the Fortnite App, and the legal problems started. Now, every Epic Game in the App Store has been removed, including titles like Battle Breakers and Infinity Blade Stickers.
“We are disappointed that we have had to terminate the Epic Games account on the App Store. We have worked with the team at Epic Games for many years on their launches and releases. The court recommended that Epic comply with the App Store guidelines while their case moves forward, guidelines they’ve followed for the past decade until they created this situation. Epic has refused. Instead they repeatedly submit Fortnite updates designed to violate the guidelines of the App Store. This is not fair to all other developers on the App Store and is putting customers in the middle of their fight. We hope that we can work together again in the future, but unfortunately that is not possible today.”
Apple has only terminated the accounts of Epic Games, and not Epic International, as the court issued a temporary restraining order that will prevent Cupertino from closing every account related to Epic. Epic International is a separate account linked to Epic´s Unreal Engine, which is also used by third-party app developers.
On a positive note, Fortnite users who downloaded the app on their iPhone or iPad before this mess can still play the game, but they will miss out on the new Season 4 and future updates.

We have more deals on Hyper X headsets, Skagen watches and more in the links below. We have new leaks of the cases for the Huawei Mate 40 series
We have some new leaked images of cases that allegedly belong to the Mate 40 and the Mate 40 Pro. Around ten days ago some images of squared camera modules popped up but, these go along with the original and circular design we got from the OnLeak’s CAD renders. On these cases we can see some differences from the Mate 30, for example the larger camera module and it looks like we’re getting real volume rockers instead of the software solution we got from the Mate 30 Pro. Both of these models seem to be retaining the IR blaster and the regular Mate 40 may still bring a headphone jack. We’re expecting the new, and possibly last, Kirin chips that will power these phones at IFA, which is a few days away.TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer quits amid turmoil
Yesterday was Epic’s day when it comes to the drama, now it’s Tik Tok’s turn. Back in May, Kevin Mayer left Disney to become Tik Tok’s CEO in the US operations. Well, he just decided to step down from his position amidst of all the political turmoil he’s been facing. In the meantime, Tik Tok’s General Manager, Vanessa Pappas, will be leading the company. On a statement Mayer said that, due to the sharp change in the political environment, he did a significant reflection on the structural changes that this would require and what that means for his role. Therefore, he’s deciding to step down from the company. Also, on a new report from CNBC, Walmart is partnering up with Microsoft to purchase the US operations of Tik Tok but, the details for this move haven’t been disclosed yet.iPhone 12 without chargers or Earpods confirmed?
Let’s start talking about Apple, mainly with the iPhone 12 for this segment. There’s been multiple reports and predictions telling us that we won’t be getting the charging brick or the EarPods on the box. Well, according to a new research note from TrendForce, this will be the case. According to them, Apple will be removing these accessories from the box because of the manufacturing costs will significantly increase due to 5G and removing these will help them keep the price tag. Of course they also mentioned that this might drive even more sales for the AirPods and also because it helps reduce e-waste. A lot of trusted sources have reported on this so it looks like it’s a done deal.New Apple iPad and Watch Series 6 are just around the corner
We know that the only way to call Apple’s current release strategy is with the word staggered. A couple of weeks ago we covered a tweet from Jon Prosser, where he detailed Apple’s launch dates for the Fall. The first part of the tweet covered the new Apple Watch and iPad, which according to him would launch before everything else on the week of September 7th. Well, a new iPad and a new Apple Watch just went through the Eurasian Economic Commission, hinting that the launch date will be happening very soon. The iPad is listed as an “Apple tablet computer” with 7 model number’s for the different storage tiers and color variants, oh and they run iPadOS 14. The Apple Watch Series 6 also made the cut with 8 model numbers, and they’re all listed running WatchOS 7. Again, even if the iPhones are delayed, we are expecting these to come out sometime around September 7th with a silent release so, we’ll keep you posted.Story of the day:
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 gets its own UnPacked event
The gorgeous Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G could cost less than the original Fold
Even if Samsung already “revealed” the Galaxy Z Fold 2, they’re doing a pretty good job at keeping the hype up before the actual announcement. As, the company just announced that they will be hosting an Unpacked Part 2 on September 1st at 10am Eastern. At this event we’re expecting to get the full list of specifications and the actual price tag. Speaking of the specifications and price, the current leaked specs for this device include a Snapdragon 865+, dual batteries that amount to 4365 mAh, a 6.2in outer display and a 7.6in main panel running at 120Hz. Moving on to the price tag, we were expecting it to cost the same as it’s predecessor. But according to a new WinFuture report, the Z Fold 2 will cost €1999 which is €100 less than the price of the original Fold, even with all of the new features. We’ll get more information on September 1st so, stay tuned. Man selling fake Instagram likes gets sued by Facebook
Facebook is suing a man who sold fake Instagram likes and comments, which was a part of a “fake engagement service,” Facebook said in a statement. The service “used a network of bots and automation software to distribute fake likes, comments, views and followers on Instagram,” according to the company.
This is not the first time Facebook is taking the issue of fake Instagram likes to court. Previously, it has filed a number of similar lawsuits against developers who misuse data. As per Engadget, the company sued a Spanish developer for selling fake Instagram likes. Furthermore, it sued a New Zealand company for its fake Instagram engagement service last year.
The company has also sued MobiBurn, a developer that used malicious software to collect Facebook data from users. The developer is said to collect “information from the devices and requested data from Facebook, including the person’s name, time zone, email address and gender,” when users installed apps with MobiBurn’s software.
