LG Wing coming to Verizon on October 15 for $999, pre-orders kick off on October 1
Now let’s talk about LG as the company announced the Wing a couple of weeks ago but, we didn’t get any availability dates or the price tag at their event. Well, if you’re interested pre-orders for this phone will begin on October 1st on Verizon. If you’re not on Verizon, don’t worry, AT&T and T-Mobile will be getting it this fall, and you’ll be able to get it on third party retailers like Amazon and Best Buy as well. For those of you who haven’t been paying attention, the LG Wing is LG’s rotating phone. It packs a 6.8in FHD+ display, with a secondary 3.9in. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 765G, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also packs a triple camera setup that includes a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP wide angle and another 12MP wide angle. The price tag, which hadn’t been revealed is $999 and honestly, it’s not too bad for the features. OnePlus 8T 5G will run OxygenOS 11; also spotted on Geekbench
Now let’s move on over to OnePlus as we’re basically in Tech-Tober already so, the Pixel isn’t the only thing we’re getting. OnePlus is gearing up to launch their T Series smartphone on October 14th. There’s been multiple rumors and leaks that there won’t be a Pro variant, even if the company has been teasing something “Ultra” for the event. Well, Pete Lau just confirmed that there won’t be an 8T Pro this year as, according to him, “users who like the Pro-level products can choose the regular 8 Pro, the annual machine king. Their current plan is defined in a direction where there won’t be no room for upgrade. And later in that statement he said 8T, hashtag, hashtag and a surprise that is worth the wait. Now, since they’ve been teasing something Ultra and there is no room for upgrade, we could assume that the regular 8T will pack a lot of punch. The leaked specs for this phone include a 6.5in display running at 120Hz, the Snapdragon 865, no Plus, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Finally, it’ll pack a quad camera array at the back with a 48MP main sensor, a 16MP ultra wide and two useless macro and portrait shooters. We’ll keep you posted as we get closer to the event, and no worries, that Macro Camera is not what makes it ultra.Distributors could get the first iPhone 12 batch as soon as next week

He also mentioned that the 12 and 12 Pro Max will start at 128GB when it comes to storage and, them not being in that shipment list serves as some sort of confirmation that, we won’t be getting these until later and we’re expecting that to be some time early November. Finally, he added that the event will be happening on October 13th after all with pre-orders on the 16th and they’ll be in stores on October 23rd.Nest Audio becomes official, and it’s now available for pre-order
Chromecast with Google TV is here with a sleek remote, 4K HDR support and a $49.99 price
And yes, today was the Google Event so, let’s start off with everything we got that isn’t Pixel related. And, actually, we thought it would be more but we got two different products. Let’s begin with Project Sabrina which is officially dubbed Chromecast with Google TV. Like the name suggests it’s a small dongle but instead of just letting you stream to it, it brings full blown Google TV. It allows you to stream 4K HDR videos at 60fps, with Dolby Vision and even HDR10+. It also brings a remote which let’s you call on the Google Assistant, and it also has a Netflix and YouTube button. This new speaker is 6.89in tall, and weighs over 2 and a half pounds. It includes a 75mm woofer, and a 19mm tweeter to deliver 50% more bass, 75% more volume and give you a clearer sound than the original. Pre-orders are already live and it will be available on October 5th in 21 different countries for $99. We’ll let you know how the experience goes once we get these devices for review as, I’m not gonna lie, I wanna try them ASAP.Story of the day:

Finally, of course, the hottest news today have to do with Google, and let’s be real, regardless of how popular we want pixels to be, we really hope this is the time they take off. Let’s 4start off with the Pixel 4a 5G which is, a bigger and actually better version of what we currently have with the Pixel 4a. It has a 6.2in HDR OLED Display running at 60Hz, it is powered by the Snadragon 765G, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Finally, this one packs a 3800 mAh battery and it will come in Just Black and Clearly Black, for $499, oh and did I mention it still brings a headphone jack? And we know, we’re all here for the Pixel 5 so let’s just get to it. Google might produce as little as 800,000 Pixel 5 units in 2020 as it trims sales target: Report
Google introduced its high-end Pixel 5 smartphone earlier today, alongside the more affordable Pixel 4a 5G. On the surface, the two phones look promising and the general consensus from the tech community is that the lower asking price of Google’s new smartphones might attract more consumers towards the Pixel family. However, it appears that Google has set a rather modest target when it comes to the sale of Pixel 5 in 2020. As per a Nikkei Asia report that cites sources privy to the matter, Google plans to produce only 1 million units of the Pixel 5 this year, thanks in no part to a lower sales target.
However, the number of Pixel 5 units produced this year could fall as low as 800,000 units depending on the reception it gets. Google has trimmed down its sales estimates due to the cumulative effect of two factors – the coronavirus pandemic slowing down the global smartphone market and Google failing to meet the sales target of its Pixel smartphones last year. Google sold 7.2 million smartphones in 2019, falling short of its target of shipping 8-10 million units, as per IDC data.

On top of it, the coronavirus pandemic has also put brakes on Google’s plans of manufacturing all of its smartphone models in Vietnam as well, in a bid to move some production away from China amidst growing geopolitical tensions. “Google gave a relatively conservative order forecast this year because its flagship Pixel 4 did not sell well last year, and because COVID-19 is causing their team to stay on the safe side concerning handsets for now,” a source close to Google was quoted as saying by Nikkei Asia.
To recall, pre-orders for the Pixel 5 have already gone live in the US and it will be available starting October 15 in nine countries. However, Google will sell Pixel 5 in fewer markets, with India being one of the major omissions where the Pixel 5 won’t hit the shelves. Overall, Google has reportedly set a production target of 3 million units for all three smartphones it has launched so far this year – the Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 4a. So far, the Pixel 4a appears to have received a positive reception due to its aggressive asking price of just $349, and might prove to be the key shipment driver for Google in 2020-2021, just like the Pixel 3a did in the previous financial year.

New leak could confirm the battery capacity in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra may be a long way from its official presentation, but it seems that we may already have confirmation of some of its internals. A new rumor could confirm a previous leak that mentioned the battery size in the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which may be just as large as the battery found in its predecessor.
A new leak has surfaced, mentioning the battery size of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Once again, the leak comes from a very credible source, as the information was taken from an early product certificate. The documentation coming from Chinese telecom authority 3C mentions the battery of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which is supposed to carry model number EB-BG998ABY which could easily be used as a reference to the SM-998 model that is the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The non-removable battery is rated with a capacity of 4,885mAh, which usually ends up being announced as a total 5,000 mAh battery, which would match the previous leaks that surfaced in mid-September. This doesn’t mean that we may get the same battery life as on the Galaxy S20 Ultra, as we are expecting that the new processors featured in these devices can give us the same or better screen-on time.
Bear in mind that the new Samsung Galaxy S21 could include several camera upgrades, and we may end up getting a new 108MP Wide-angle camera, a standard 3X lens, a periscope module the would deliver more than 5X magnification, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. On the front panel, rumors claim that we could get a selfie camera with a 40MP sensor. We have also seen the device with an Exynos 2100 processor under the hood, which isn’t as powerful as the Exynos 1000 processor that we saw previously, which could end up being even better and faster than its Qualcomm Snapdragon counterpart. Still, there is a long way to go, and many things can change. In the meantime, we’ll keep you posted with any new information that pops up.

Microsoft Surface Laptop ‘Go’ specs leaked ahead of rumored October 1 launch
A few weeks ago, we heard rumors that Microsoft is planning to launch a more affordable Surface Laptop that will feature a small-ish 12.5-inch display and might be priced just around $500. Today, leakster Roland Quandt has shared the alleged specifications of the upcoming device that might debut carrying the Surface Laptop Go moniker. The affordable Surface-branded laptop might go official on October 1, alongside an upgraded Surface Pro X convertible packing the new Surface SQ2 chip.
Surface Laptop Go: 12.45in 1536x1024px PixelSense LCD, Intel Core i5-1035G1, 4/8GB, 64/128/256GB (64 is only eMMC), 13h battery. USB-A/C, Surface Connect, 3.5mm, 11xx grams. Silver, Blue, Gold.
— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) September 30, 2020
Talking about the leaked specifications, Quandt claims that the Surface Laptop Go will feature a 12.45-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 1536×1024 pixels and a tall 3:2 aspect ratio, but there is no word whether it will be touch-sensitive. The machine will draw power from the previous-gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 Ice Lake processor. Now, this is the same silicon that was spotted running inside an unannounced Microsoft hardware a few days ago.
The Intel chipset will be paired with a paltry 4GB of RAM, although a more powerful variant with 8 gigs of RAM will also be there on the table. Storage options will be 64GB, 128GB, 128GB. While 64GB onboard storage is a controversial choice in itself, it will also be the far slower eMMC standard and not the SATA or PCIe SSD options we’re used to. The Surface Laptop Go will also have a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the power button.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Go is claimed to retain the Surface Connect port because it is a surface device after all. A 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack will be there as well, but there is some ambiguity regarding the choice of USB port – whether it is Type-C or Type-A. The machine is said to weigh under 1.2 kilograms, and will reportedly be offered in three color options – Silver, Blue and Gold. The Surface will reportedly be priced at €649 for the variant that ships with Windows 10 Pro, which means models that run the standard version or Windows 10 in S Mode will be priced even lower.

Distributors could get the first iPhone 12 batch as soon as next week
We are just days away from October, and we are still waiting for Apple to reveal the date of its next event. Said event is expected to be focused on the launch of the new iPhone 12 lineup, and rumors claim that we may also get an iPad Pro refresh, and even Apple Silicone Macs. Now, a new rumor suggests that Apple is almost ready for the launch of its new iPhones, as its distributors may get their hands on these devices as soon as next Monday.
Rumors suggest that the launch of the new iPhone 12 lineup may take place on October 13, and a recent tweet posted by Jon Prosser would make this rumor easier to believe. According to Prosser, Apple may have the first batch of iPhone 12 devices delivered to distributors on Monday, October 5. This would mean that Apple wants to assure the availability of its new devices before its possible announcement.
Apple’s first shipment of final iPhone 12 units is going out to distributers on October 5th
The shipment includes:
iPhone 12 mini 5.4
(Definitely the final marketing name)
-64/128/256iPhone 12 6.1
-64/128/256Event on October 13, as I mentioned before.
— Jon Prosser (@jon_prosser) September 29, 2020
He also goes as far as to confirm that the smaller 5.4-inch model will indeed launch as the iPhone 12 mini, with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options. The 6.1-inch iPhone 12 variant would also be available, with the same storage options as the iPhone 12 mini. Now, he also mentions that the iPhone 12 Pro and the 12 Pro Max will start at 128GB storage space. Still, it seems that we may have to wait a bit longer for the higher-end variants.
Let’s remember that the iPhone 12 Pro Max is rumored to be the only iPhone in the next lineup to include mmWave 5G support since the other options would only support sub-6GHz 5G connectivity. We have also seen rumors mentioning the lack of 120Hz refresh rate displays in these new iPhone devices, but we are still expecting to receive a couple of them with LiDAR sensors, and who knows, we may also see the arrival of Apple’s first device with a mini-LED display.

Moreover, there is a dedicated page on Mi.com. It teases the arrival of a smartwatch, a fitness band, and a smart speaker. The company is expected to release a host of new products at this event. You can watch the Xiaomi Smarter Living 2021 event livestream below:
According to tipster Ishan Agarwal, the Mi Band 5 will have a maximum retail price (MRP) of Rs 2,999, which means it could be priced lower than that. The tipster suggests it will cost Rs 2,499. Coming to the Mi Watch Revolve, it is tipped to come with an MRP of Rs 10,999. Again, it could end up costing lesser than the price mentioned on the box. The smartwatch could cost around Rs 9,999. Further, the company is also rumored to launch the Mi Speaker.
If the Mi Watch Revolve is indeed the Mi Watch Color then it will feature a 1.39-inch (454×454 pixels) display and pack a 420mAh battery that is said to last 14 days on a single charge. It will include Bluetooth 5.0, Glonass, GPS, and come with a 5ATM water resistance rating. It features 24×7 heart rate tracking, stress monitoring, and sleep tracking features. The Mi Watch Color comes with 10 sport modes for tracking workouts like swimming, treadmill, running, and cycling among others.
On the other hand, the Mi Band 5 is teased to offer several watch faces, sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, VO2 max (maximal oxygen uptake) monitoring, and more. It will succeed the Mi Band 4 that was launched last year. The device is said to come with several sports modes and magnetic charging pins on the back.

Nokia Android 11 update roadmap leaked by HMD Global
We have been receiving a couple of interesting rumors and leaks from Nokia lately. It seems that we may see the launch of three new devices as soon as November, including the Nokia 9.3 PureView. However, this time we are going to focus on software, as the company in charge of manufacturing Nokia phones, HMD Global, seems to have revealed some information concerning the Android 11 rollout to its devices to take it down moments after.
It seems that HMD Global has most of its plans to upgrade its Nokia devices, at had posted a rough timeline depicting when each device would receive the new Android 11 software update. However, we may believe that some details need to be checked since the timeline was taken down quickly after being published.

According to the image posted by HMD Global, we could expect to see Android 11 OTA updates for the Nokia 8.3 5G, the Nokia 2.2, Nokia 5.3, and the Nokia 8.1 during Q4 of 2020. The next devices to receive the update would be the Nokia 1.3, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 2.4, Nokia 2.3, and the Nokia 3.4 sometime in Q1 2021, with the Nokia 3.2, Nokia 7.2, and Nokia 6.2 sometime between Q1 and Q2 2021. Finally, the Nokia 1 Plus and the Nokia 9 PureView would be left for last, as they would receive the update in Q2 2021.
Now, the image may have been taken down because the update timeline may still be under revision, but at least we got a glimpse of what to expect. Remember that Nokia phones are part of the Android One program, which means that they receive Android updates rather fast when compared to other OEMs. Now, we will also have to wait for the launch of the new Nokia 9.3 PureView, which may launch with the Nokia 7.3, Nokia 6.3, to see if they arrive with Android 11 out of the box, or if we will also have to wait for an update.

Unannounced Google Chromecast is already available at Home Depot
The next Google event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 30. We are expecting several new and exciting products, such as the new Pixel 5, the Pixel 4a 5G, new smart speakers that are expected to launch under the Google Nest brand, and a new Google Chrome with Android TV support. However, the Chromecast codenamed Sabrina may have decided not to wait for its official announcement, and it could already be available from Home Depot.
Yes, the new Google Chromecast with Android TV or Google TV is now selling for $49.99 over at Home Depot. The retailer has Sabrina available, two days before it’s official launched, the guys from The Verge have already purchased one, as it was already on store shelves for grabs. The device has also been spotted at Walmart, where Reddit user u/fuzztub07 purchased one to give us a full demonstration of its features.
“The Verge has purchased one such device from The Home Depot and can confirm the retailer is not stopping customers from checking out and taking the pre-release product home.”
Now, the new Google Chromecast with Android TV is not available in every store, as the guys from the verge claim that they tried two stores, and they only found the new Chromecast at the second location. Also, “inputting the universal product code listed on the receipt into the retailer’s website returns no results, so it would appear you can only purchase it early in person.”
The receipt doesn’t describe the dongle like a Chromecast; it labels it as “SABRINA-ABBEY ROCK CANDY,” which is the device’s hardware codename. Google was approached for comments on the matter, but it didn’t respond.
Is there anything we don't know or haven't seen at this point? Dude picked it up at Home Depot for $50. https://t.co/YiPh6RL42d pic.twitter.com/t2mr4o15iF

Well, you may want to wait for the official launch of the Google Chromecast, or just go to a couple of Home Depot or Walmart stores to see if you can get one. Remember that it’s just $50, and it will with a remote controller and Google TV support.

Apple Watch Series 3 is randomly rebooting after the watchOS 7 update
The watchOS 7 brought a host of new features and changes to the existing Apple Watch lineup. However, it seems like Apple needs to address the update on Watch Series 3. The device owners are complaining of random reboots after installing watchOS 7 on their devices. Their watches are performing multiple restarts per day. Further it includes more bugs beyond that.
The latest development comes from Apple and MacRumors forums where Apple Watch Series 3 owners are complaining about random reboots, lockups, complications that fail to load, and sluggish performance. Apple released watchOS 7.0.1 but Engadget reports that it doesn’t appear to have addressed the glitches. The issue persists on Series 3 but other devices including Series 5 remain unaffected. While the experience is not great for the Watch Series 3 owners, it is likely to be patched in an upcoming release.
With watchOS 7, Apple included the ability to enable more than one type of complication. This means you can have the same complication on different watch faces. The company also made it easier to share watch faces with other people. Further, Maps on Apple Watch have also had some improvements. They include cycling directions as well as contextual service recommendations.
Apple Watch now alerts users if they’re spending too much time in a noisy environment. Ideally, you want to spend less than 40 hours per week in an environment that’s louder than 80 decibels. The watchOS 7 also brought improvements to Siri as you it comes with improved dictation which can be used in replying to texts, or searching using your spoken queries. There’s also a handwashing feature that helps you ensure you’re washing your hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds. You can read more about all the new watchOS 7 features here.

Amazon Prime Day sale will take place on October 13 and 14
COVID-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of our lives. It has delayed or canceled important events including the Amazon Prime Day sales event, which suffered delays. However, we finally have the dates for the two-day sale. The Amazon Prime Day sale will be live on October 13 and 14. The sale kicks off at 12 AM PT on Tuesday, October 13 and will run through till 11:59 PM PT Wednesday, October 14. To recall, the sale took place in India in August but was delayed in the US.
The annual shopping event takes place for Amazon Prime members who can subscribe at the $13 monthly or $120 annual rate after their 30-day free trial ends. The Prime Day sale drives a lot of Amazon sales in a short period of time. The Amazon Prime Day sale has “become a special celebration and time for Prime members to shop incredible deals for themselves and for friends and family – and it’s something we look forward to every year,” says Amazon.
The company has also been expanding Prime Day outside the U.S. In 2019, the sales event was opened for the United Arab Emirates, which then joined other markets, including the U.S., U.K., Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, India, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, and Australia.
Like other events this year, the fate of Amazon Prime Day sale was unknown until we received a rumored date for the event recently. The sale usually takes place in August. However, the company reportedly pushed back its annual sale event because of the strain that the pandemic placed on its warehouses as more people began shopping online during the pandemic.
“This year’s Prime Day is the perfect opportunity for Prime members to get their holiday shopping done early from the comfort of their homes – and to have more time to spend with their families and friends throughout the season,” said eff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer.
